Superlatives in Chicago Area High School Basketball tonight!!!!!

Well this is the last week of Chicago Public League regular season play. The playoffs start next week and looks like Farragut is going to be relegated for the first time ever. A bit sad that a program that produce Curtis Ganes, Kevin Garnett, Ronnie Fields, Michael Wright amongst others has come to this. That's the Chicago Public League Red though, get it in to stay upstairs or drop downstairs to the basement. Lots of top performances ahead of tomorrow nights Central Suburban South title battle between Top 5 clubs: Here we go:

Anthony Zepeda school record 57 POINTS!!!!! for Chicago Academy in win over Alcott.

Senior Mikell Jones 25 points 18 rebounds(double/double) for #17 Michele Clark(Chicago) in win over Lincoln Park(Chicago).

Cordy Johnson 23 points for #17 Michele Clark in win over Lincoln Park.

Senior Chikere Nwosu 32 points on 7 for 8 from three for Lincoln Park in loss to #17 Michele Clark.

Oak Lawn captures their first conference championship since 1983. Congrats young fellas.

Davion McCarthy a double/double 17 points 10 rebounds 6 steals for #21 Orr Academy(Chicago) in double overtime win over Marshall(Chicago).

Senior Joshua West 20 points 8 rebounds 5 steals for Westinghouse(Chicago) aka The House in win over Farragut(Chicago).

Haven Roberts 19 points for Momence in win over Manteno.

Alex Vassilakis 19 points for Lockport in win over Plainfield South.

KiAon Williams 19 points 2 steals for Phoenix Stem Academy(Chicago) in win over Kelvyn Park(Chicago)

Sophomore Shaheed Solebo 17 points 3 steals for Lane Tech(Chicago) in loss to Whitney Young(Chicago).

Senior Northern Illinois commit Xavier Amos a double/double 12 points 11 rebounds for #10 Whitney Young(Chicago) in win over Lane Tech(Chicago).

Senior David Robinson a double/doubl 19 points 10 rebounds for Lake View(Chicago) in win over Senn(Chicago).

Freshman David Loza 27 points for Lake View in win over Senn.

Zilys 17 points for Naperville Central in win over DeKalb.

Senior Joshua Hinton 16 points 6 assists in win over DeKalb.

#6 Kenwood Academy(Chicago) survives in 2 OT's vs Morgan Park(Chicago).
