St John's(District of Columbia) 65 Morgan Park(Chicago) 60!!!!!!!!!
This game I watched on NBC Sports channel. The game was played yesterday at the Beach Ball Classic in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. This was pretty simple, Morgan Park has ample opportunities on the offensive glass and could not convert. St John's is a very good and fundamentally sound team. Their offense looked smoother and they shot a lot better from the field than Morgan Park. The thing is Morgan Park still had chances to win this game, but could not convert on possessions in the last two minutes. Rhode Island commit senior guard Ismael Leggett had 20 of his 22 points in the second half. Senior guard John Square Jr had 13 points for St John's who went to 9-0 and advanced to the next round. Senior guard Adam Miller had 29 points on 6 of 12 from three point range, followed by junior forward Brandon Weston's 17 points and 7 rebounds. Senior Isaiah Burrell had 11 rebounds for Morgan Park which dropped to 5-3. To emphasize my earlier point, Morgan Park out rebounded St John's 42-32, but missed a lot of opportunities on put backs. St John's shot 54% from the field, while Morgan Park shot 30% from the field for the game.
