Bill Hensley Memorial Run N Slam Tidbits and Standouts 16U!!!!!
Updated: May 11
This was my first time coming to this event in Fort Wayne, IN. God willing I'll be going back for many years to come. One of the best run events I've been to since I started with this scouting service. There were teams from Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Iowa, Michigan, Wisconsin and Kentucky. I had to go back and forth between venues, but none of them were more than 10 minutes away. I did not get to the Spiece Fieldhouse, which I've heard is a very historic place. I intend to get to the facility next season. Most of my time was at Turnstone which is the headquarters. Hotel was less than 10 minutes from Turnstone too very convenient. I only watched 17U and some 16U, I'll see the 15U's another time or when they get older. Here we go:
Matthew King, EG10(IN) 2024- 6'2" point guard is a scorer as well as a distributor. He was their best player against Meanstreets in a loss. He's explosive on drives to the basket, had a couple of dunks. He hit a couple of long range threes and showed he belonged against the loaded Meanstreets team. No back down at all from this young man as he had a couple of nice steals on defense. Plays for Hammond Central(IN).
Cooper Koch, Indiana Elite 2024 3SSB- 6'8" wing has a nice step back one foot jumper in the mid range along with a step out three point shot. Is good off the dribble, running the floor, and hitting the defensive glass. Versatile wing who can play all three front court positions. Will be in my next ranking of Top 10 players in the class for Illinois. Plays for Notre Dame(Peoria,IL).

Travis Perry, Indiana Elite 2024 3SSB- 6'2" point guard runs the team very well. Is a leader on the court who can penetrate and dish, hit the three, and has some nice pull-up jumpers from mid range. Tough hard-nosed floor general. Plays for Lyon County(KY).
Cole Certa, Illinois Wolves UAA- 6'5" combo guard keeps putting up big numbers in the scoring column. Uses an effective handle to get off shots from three, mid range, and finishing at the rim with either hand. He has grown a few inches over the past year, which has helped him be effective in getting off any shot at any spot on the floor. Will be in my next ranking of Top 10 players in the class for Illinois. Plays for Central Catholic(Bloomington,IL).
Payton Kamin, Illinois Wolves UAA- 6'6" guard is working his way back from injury. Shows a nice catch and shoot three point shot, shows he can get to the basket off the dribble and finish at the rim. Rebounds well for his position. Plays for DePaul College Prep(Chicago).
