Big Tim's Insider Notes.

Updated: Aug 30, 2019

I'll start with Class of 2020 6'3" combo guard Adam Miller of Morgan Park(Chicago) who's on a visit to Arizona State. He'll visit Arizona and Illinois next. According to my sources Adam Miller will end up signing with Arizona State. They are trying to package him with another guard I will mention in a bit. Arizona State is going to have Adam Miller run the point. They have Alonzo Verge the Top JUCO transfer in America who will be playing this year. He's expected to be there only one year and will go professional probably the NBA. This leads me to:

Class of 2020 6'4" combo guard Joshua Christopher of Mayfair(Lakewood,CA) who to a lot of folks earmarked to head to Kentucky. Arizona State is trying to package him with the aforementioned Adam Miller and play the wing aka shooting guard spot. Kentucky is trying to package him with Jalen Green, but my sources have said this is not going to happen. He's expected to matriculate at Memphis. He's announcing his decision on December 25th. In a previous posts I have given visit dates for Christopher.

Class of 2020 6'5" combo guard Jalen Green of Prolific Prep(Napa,CA) has not set official visit dates yet but he has said he will visit Memphis again and also Kentucky.

My number one ranked Class of 2020 player 6'7" point guard Cade Cunningham of Montverde Academy(Montverde,FL) has schedule his official visits. They are:

Oklahoma State- September 7th

North Carolina- September 27th

Florida- October 5th

Kentucky- October 11th

Washington- October 18th

He has said he will make a decision in time for the early signing period in November. He's expected to pick Oklahoma State.

Class of 2021 Paolo Banchero of O'Dea(Seattle) has said he's staying in Class of 2021(for now) and has scheduled official visits. They are:

North Carolina- September 27th

Kentucky- October 11th

Duke- October 17th

Tennessee- October 25th

Gonzaga- January 18th, 2020

He has no official visit scheduled to Washington but do not take that to mean much. He can get to that campus anytime he wants. Also both his parents are former athletes at the school(Dad-Football, Mom-Womens Basketball). I think though he has said he's open Washington is the favorite.

Look for Memphis to turn up the heat on their recruitment of Class of 2021 7'0" combo forward Chet Holmgren. Dead period for recruiting ends on August 31st, so look for Memphis to take a visit to Minnehaha Academy in Minneapolis in short order. I think another Coach that is familiar in recruiting should be making Holmgren a priority themselves.

I've been told Class of 2020 6'5" point guard Jalen Suggs of Minnehaha Academy, MN will not entertain an offer from Kentucky even if they renew their interest. He's moving on I've been told. Gonzaga is the leader for his services but he could end up playing college football as he is a 4 star Quarterback.

Lastly, Class of 2021 6'7" wing Terrence Clarke of Brewster Academy(NH) has been rumored to be attempting to reclassify and Kentucky is the overwhelming favorite. I've been told he has an uphill climb academically to make it happen. This could have an affect on the recruitment of Jalen Green by Kentucky.

Addendum: I was told by a source Class of 2020 Kyrie Walker of Hillcrest Prep will reclassify to Class of 2019 and sign a professional contract to play in China. He also will receive a shoe deal with Li Ning. This should happen anytime now as we are getting close to September and players reporting to their professional teams overseas.

That is it for now. God Bless and Peace to the Creatures.

Note: Adam Miller is on an official visit to Arizona not Arizona State.
